Team Captains are responsible for distributing copies of the rules to the rest of their team
Games are 3 innings long
The tournament will be a Random draw Double elimination
If pitcher has control of the ball in the designated circle before the runner reaches 1st base that runner is out.
Pitching
The Pitcher must be in contact with the pitcher's mound during pitch
Pitches are pitched at pitcher's desired speed.
A pitch that hits any part of the Strike Zone is a strike.
A strike is: 1) A pitch that is swung at and missed, 2) A pitched ball that is inside the strike zone, or 3) a batted ball that lands in foul territory
A ball is: 1) A pitched ball that is outside of the strike zone, or 2) A pitched ball that hits the batter
Sportsmanship
All players and teams are required to use proper language during tournament play
All players are required to treat opponents and others with respect and courtesy
We reserve the right to disqualify any participant who is unsportsmanlike during the tournament
Players tagging a runner should use reasonable force.
Field Dimensions
The pitching mound will be 38 feet to home plate
Base paths are 40 feet
10 ft diamaitor circle around pitchers mound for pitchers hand
A Strike zone will be place 3 ft behind home plate
Hitting
3 strikes = Out
4 balls = Walk
4 Fouls = Out
If teams bat out of order, the offending batter will automatically be called out.
Bunting is prohibited
A pitched ball that hits the batter will only be ruled a ball.
Base Running
Runners are not allowed to lead-off or steal; runners may not leave base until the ball is hit.
Runners must stay within the baseline; fielders must stay out of the baseline unless attempting to tag a runner out. Fielders attempting a force-out must stand with one foot on the base and the other foot outside of the baseline
If a batted ball is caught on the fly, base runners must tag their base before attempting to advance to the next base
Runner may overrun first base, but if they turn towards second base, they may be tagged for an out
A base runner may not advance ahead of another base runner or come in contact with them; the result is an out.
Once the pitcher has control of the ball in the circle, play is ruled dead; only players already advancing to next base before the pitcher has control of the ball may continue to advance to the next base.
Scoring
5 run limit per inning with an exception of a home-run
If home-run scores in more than 5 runs in that inning those runs still (its possible to get up to 8 runs in an inning)
